Allied Arts Awards $186K in Grants, Celebrates Allied Arts Month

ALLIED ARTS AWARDS NEARLY $200,000 IN GRANTS AS OKLAHOMA CITY MAYOR PROCLAIMS FEBRUARY AS ALLIED ARTS MONTH

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., Feb 25, 2025 – Allied Arts has distributed more than $186,000 in grants in its latest round of grantmaking. This funding, split between the Allied Arts Educational Outreach and Capacity Building grant programs, will support 31 local nonprofit arts organizations, fueling education, access and growth across Oklahoma communities.

These funds are raised through the ongoing Allied Arts Campaign, which runs now through June 2025. This campaign enables Allied Arts to continue supporting the creative ecosystem in Oklahoma, ensuring the arts remain accessible and sustainable for all Oklahomans.

Educational Outreach: $109,350 Awarded

This initiative focuses on providing access to the arts for underserved communities, including youth and seniors. $109,350 will be allocated to support 21 projects that expand arts education opportunities in schools, cultural institutions and beyond.

Capacity Building: $77,267.85 Awarded

With a focus on strengthening and sustaining Oklahoma's arts organizations, the $77,267.85 in 19 Capacity Building grants will fund initiatives ranging from professional development and marketing support to technological upgrades. These grants represent a pivotal investment in Oklahoma’s vibrant arts community, equipping organizations with the resources and skills to elevate their impact and broaden their reach.

In addition to distributing grants, Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt officially proclaimed February as Allied Arts Month on Tuesday, February 25. The proclamation recognizes the significant impact of Allied Arts in supporting local arts organizations, fostering arts education and strengthening the creative economy in central Oklahoma.
