ARPA Funds to be Dispersed by City of Oklahoma City and Allied Arts

Wednesday, June 8, 2022

Allied Arts President and CEO Deborah McAuliffe Senner announced today Allied Arts will administer $1 million in grants to eligible arts and cultural nonprofits through the City of Oklahoma City’s Arts Non-Profit Recovery Program.

The application window opens May 4 at alliedartsokc.com. Allied Arts hosted an in-person town hall session last week. That session was recorded and placed on our website. Eligibility requirements can also be found on our website as well.

Applications will be accepted on a monthly rolling basis until the American Rescue Plan Act funds are spent. First-time applicants are encouraged to apply. The purpose of the recovery program is to help relieve the financial impact caused byCOVID-19.  The negative impact must be demonstrated through decreased revenue or gross receipts (relative to pre-pandemic revenue), increased costs due to COVID-19, COVID-19 mitigation measures (excluding facility expansion), or challenges covering payroll, rent, mortgage, or other operating costs.

Arts and cultural organizations must meet certain requirements to apply, including:

·        501(c)(3)or 501(c)(19) status

·        Headquartered in Oklahoma City

·        Provide arts and cultural programming in Oklahoma City

·        Identify as an arts and cultural organization using the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities system.

Additional eligibility requirements and funding categories can be found atalliedartsokc.com.

“The City of Oklahoma City recognizes that the non-profit arts industry is an important sector of Oklahoma City’s economy and financial support is necessary to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the organizations that enhance quality of life for all,” said Senner. “We encourage all who are eligible to apply.”
