FORIMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oklahoma County, OK.,July 10, 2024

Allied Arts has announced the opening of applications for a new grant program, COVID Relief for Oklahoma County Cultural Nonprofits. Allied Arts received $350,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from District 1 Commissioner Carrie Blumert and District 2 Commissioner Brian Maughan. This financial support aims to provide vital assistance to nonprofit arts organizations within Oklahoma County that have been severely impacted by COVID-19.

The funding will be directed towards eligible arts nonprofits headquartered in Oklahoma County, focusing on those that have experienced significant financial hardship due to the pandemic. These funds are intended to aid in the recovery and rebuilding efforts of these organizations, specifically by addressing revenue loss, investing in human resources, and facilitating the creation or expansion of programs. A primary goal is to enhance access to arts and cultural experiences, particularly in underserved communities.

Organizations eligible for funding can apply across three categories: supporting revenue loss, investing in human resources, and developing new or expanding existing programs. The application can be found at www.alliedartsokc.com/grants with a deadline of August 2, 2024.
