FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., Feb 1, 2025 – Allied Arts held its 2025 Campaign Kickoff event on January 28 at Science Museum Oklahoma. More than 200 guests gathered to celebrate the public launch of the 2025 fundraising campaign, during which it was announced that Allied Arts has set a goal of $3.9 million. Aimee Harlow, Allied Arts Board Chair, welcomed donors, sponsors, volunteers and government leaders who came together in support of the arts.

Sally and Jeff Starling, Allied Arts 2025 Campaign Chairs, shared that more than $1 million had already been raised. “The arts have a transformative power in our community. They spark creativity, foster learning, and bring people together,” said Sally Starling. “A flourishing arts scene is the heart of a thriving city, and we are committed to making sure Oklahoma continues to be a place where the arts can grow and inspire."

Throughout the campaign, Allied Arts will also honor the philanthropy and vision of Christian Keesee and Larry Keigwin, who serve as the 2025 Honorary Chairs. Both individuals have had a significant impact on Oklahoma’s arts community through their leadership and dedication to the state’s cultural institutions.

The Campaign Kickoff event featured inspiring performances by various nonprofit organizations supported by Allied Arts and the debut of the 2025 campaign video produced by Prairie Surf Media. Guests were also treated to a fun and engaging series of Science Live experiments presented by Science Museum Oklahoma, adding an interactive element to the evening’s festivities. Organizations represented at the event included Ambassadors’ Concert Choir, ARTSPACE at Untitled, Oklahoma Children’s Theatre, Oklahoma Youth Orchestras, Painted Sky Opera and Science Museum Oklahoma.

In addition to the Campaign Kickoff, Mayor David Holt and the City of Oklahoma City will proclaim February as Allied Arts Month in Oklahoma City during a City Hall proclamation on February 25.

The 2025 campaign is set to propel Allied Arts’ mission to new heights, fueling a dynamic future for Oklahoma’s cultural landscape. By supporting a diverse range of local arts organizations, the campaign will ensure the sustained growth and vibrancy of the state’s creative community. With visionary leadership at the helm, Allied Arts is poised to unlock transformative resources that will elevate the arts in Oklahoma, empowering our cultural nonprofit sector and enriching the lives of all who experience their work. This is more than a campaign—it’s a movement to shape a thriving cultural legacy for generations to come.
