Broadway Dance Camp

Whether a seasoned dancer or newcomer, this week has great things in store, including choreography, staging and music theatre dance techniques all taught through fun games and challenging activities. The week will conclude with a showcase of numbers and skills to demonstrate all the hard work put in during camp.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
Story Time with Tucker the Bernese Mountain Dog

Families can visit with Tucker the Bernese mountain dog from Human Animal Link of Oklahoma (H.A.L.O.), who joins the public for story time in the museum galleries. Follow Tucker featured in a series of children’s books by author and artist Theodore Waddell.

Additional drop-in activities take place throughout the week from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Performing Lin-Manuel Miranda

Check out this brand new one-week camp celebrating the music of Lin-Manuel Miranda! Level 1 will focus on Miranda’s music from Hamilton and Moana, and level 2 will dive into the world of In the Heights, Hamilton and other Miranda musicals. Each level will have tons of fun with Miranda’s beloved music as they practice vocal techniques, learn dance combinations, and brush up acting and performance chops. Veterans and newcomers are all welcome.

School’s out, but the learning doesn’t stop! Scientists can spend spring break at SMO. Camp for Innovators (grades 4-6) is from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is $225 per child for members or $250 for nonmembers. Camp for ages 4-5 and grades 1-3 are full.

Also that week, the museum will be open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for spring break and guests will be able to tour the museum’s Pullman parlor car. Normally closed to the public to maintain its preservation, the train car is open for tours during the week of spring break. Tours are included with general admission.
