OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., October 18, 2018 – Allied Arts raises over $550,000 with its most successful single night fundraiser, OPUS, held at The Criterion on October 12.
Led by co-chairs Sherri and Bill Lance, and Lynne and Bill Schonacher, OPUS X Club Cabaret hosted nearly 400 guests with a showcase of local performing artists, decadent dinner, drinks, dancing and a live and silent auction.
Guests and sponsors were treated to a cabaret style showcase of talent featuring a special appearance by Oklahoma’s Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth as she took the stage for a surprise announcement on her upcoming concert in May to benefit Allied Arts. Chenoweth, an arts advocate, added to the excitement by presenting Allied Arts with a $30,000 donation.
Many groups affiliated with Allied Arts performed in the showcase including The Sooner Theatre and Life Change Ballroom.
The evening of entertainment continued with amazing live and silent auction packages including a trip to NAPA Valley on a private jet, exquisite wine, the ultimate Thunder experience, Naifeh Fine Jewelry, artwork by Poteet Victory, a SONIC Ice machine, weekend getaways to The Kentucky Derby and Country Music Awards, international trips to Costa Rica, Greece, Ireland and Italy.
Presenting sponsors for OPUS X were Arvest Bank and IBC Bank. Proceeds generated through the OPUS event sponsors, ticket sales and competitive bidding for spectacular auction items benefit Allied Arts and the arts organizations it supports to help make arts programming and education accessible to the central Oklahoma arts community.
