COVID-19 Arts Relief Fund
Allied Arts Emergency Relief Fund
In response to the economic impact of COVID-19 on central Oklahoma’s cultural community, Allied Arts has launched an Emergency Relief Fund to help arts nonprofits navigate this uncertain time.
Allied Arts has seeded the fund with $100,000, and we hope to grow the fund in the coming months. Allied Arts encourages local individuals, companies and foundations to contribute to help our cultural organizations mitigate financial losses and unanticipated expenditures related to COVID-19.
Arts nonprofits in particular have been adversely affected by COVID-19 as restrictions are in place limiting social gatherings. As such, their fundraising events have been cancelled; exhibits and artist talks have closed; and performances have been postponed indefinitely. The immediate relief grants received through the Allied Arts Emergency Relief Fund will enable central Oklahoma’s arts organizations to help retain core functions and staff, make up for financial losses and cover unexpected expenses.
Allied Arts will award relief grants to central Oklahoma cultural nonprofits in the range of $1,000 to $15,000 per organization. Award amounts will vary based on organizational budget size, scope of programs, emerging needs and total resources available. Applicants must apply for CARES Act relief and/or other government assistance. Preference will be given to requests made to Allied Arts for expenses not covered by federal assistance.
Grant awards are subject to Allied Arts relief fund resource availability.
The Allied Arts Emergency Relief Fund will begin accepting applications on Monday, April 6 with the first round of grants awarded the following week.
Thank you for standing with central Oklahoma’s arts and cultural community.
